Look it up

Hey, we all want to be smart, sensible voters, don't we? Yet that is quite a challenge in this environment where lobbyists, assorted interest groups and  politicians who must rely on them for the massive sums of money it takes to get elected these days, are devoting all their considerable resources to manipulating our views and distorting reality. It's a mine field out there, but thank goodness we have resources of our own to help us sort through and weed out the you-know-what.

One of my favorites is Project Vote Smart, an independent nonpartisan organization that gives voters like you and me the investigative backup we need to understand what's really going on in our government and political campaigns. Nobody wants to be a sucker at the ballot box, and Project Vote Smart makes sure we don't have to fall into that trap, by arming us with the knowledge we need to be informed voters.

Feeling a little hazy on a few constitutional or other historical details? You're not alone!

In fact, we owe a big fat thank you for the reminder to good old boy Rush who appears to be quite the know-it-all, yet can't even keep the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence straight.

We can all refresh our memories at the U.S. National Archives website:
